Post-Placement Services
If you're adopting through a national or out-of-state adoption agency and live in Oregon or Washington, you will need a local licensed agency to complete your required post-placement visits. Because no agency is licensed in every state, families are often asked to arrange post-placement services locally before their adoption can be finalized.
Choice Adoptions provides post-placement services for adoptive families who reside in Oregon and Washington. We can coordinate directly with your placing agency or attorney to complete the required visits and submit the necessary reports.

What is Post-Placement?
Post-placement visits are the final step in the adoption process. After your child comes home, your Adoption Worker completes a series of in-home visits to see how your family is adjusting and prepares the reports required by your placing agency or attorney. The number of visits depends on your adoption and your agency's requirements.
