Choice Adoptions Waiting Families

Hello! We are a family of four living on a farm surrounded by hills and forests of Oregon. My name is Emily and my husband is Levy; we met in Kenya where we both ended up completing college internships at the same agricultural school. We were married about a year later (in 2016), and a year after that we were able to come back to the US where we now live. We have been blessed with two joyful daughters: Eden, born in 2019, and Ariella (Ella for short) who was born in 2020. In the spring and summer we grow organic fruits and vegetables which we sell at local farmers’ markets. In the winter months my husband spends much of his time thinning our forests to keep them healthy and then turning those trees into lumber and fence posts. In addition to this we raise dairy goats, chickens, ducks, sheep, and bunnies. We also have 2 dogs, a cat, and my parents, who live nearby, have several horses. Our family spends the vast majority of our time out of doors; either working in the garden, caring for our animals, or exploring the surrounding forests and creeks. Our girls love animals, are infinitely curious about nature, and are our very best helpers with all the daily chores associated with living on a farm. Levy grew up in a village in rural Kenya called Kitale. We lived there for over a year after our marriage (while waiting for visa paperwork to be completed) before moving back to the US where we now live on the same farm with my parents. The girls often get to spend time with Gram (my mom) and Babu (the Swahili word for grandfather which has become my dad’s name). My brother as well as my sister and her family live only a few minutes away. Due to heath reasons I am no longer able to have children, but both Levy and I have had a strong desire to adopt since even before our marriage. And we now feel prepared and excited to add a third child to our family! We are eager to see what plans God has for our life and yours, too!
